However, a move away from home to attend college proved to be a turning point in his development.His professional breakthrough came at Bristol City, followed by loan spells across the lower leagues before securing a move to AFC Bournemouth.Semenyos steady rise through every level of English football has since taken him to the Champions League stage, underlining his remarkable progress.Ive had to grow up quickly. Being away from home from 16 was tough, but I always believed in myself, he said.Semenyo believes those early challenges have given him the hunger to keep improving and continue proving himself at the highest level.The 26-year-old is now Ghanas most expensive player following his 62.5 million move, potentially rising to around 65 million with add-ons, from Bournemouth to Manchester City in January 2026.
