Two goals from star boy Mohamed Kudus were not enough to get Ghana a win against Egypt on Thursday night.

The Black Stars, who were searching for their first win of the tournament, opened the scoring in the 45th minute through Kudus Mohammed but lost the lead in the 69th minute.

However, the West Ham midfielder restored the lead, only for the Stars to surrender the lead again in the 74th minute to throw the game to a 2-2 draw after full time.

Ghana missed the opportunity to secure its first win in 11 games in the African Cup of Nations thanks to two elementary mistakes from Inaki Williams, whose back pass went to an opponent to concede the first goal.

Mostafa Mohamed capitalised on another blunder from winger Osman Bukari in the penalty box to get the draw for his side.

The draw puts Ghana in a tight corner with just a point as they face Mozambique on Monday in the final group game.
