Ghana to host first Africa Cinema Summit, partnering with FilmOne and Silverbird

The National Film Authority of Ghana, FilmOne Group (Nigeria), and Silverbird Cinema (Ghana) have announced a strategic partnership to host the inaugural Africa Cinema Summit (ACS) from November 14-16 at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel and Silverbird Cinema in Accra, Ghana.

The summit is a major milestone for the African film industry, and it aims to unite cinema stakeholders from around the globe to foster growth, innovation, and collaboration.

The event will feature a variety of speakers, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, and it will provide a platform for attendees to learn about the latest trends in African cinema and to forge new partnerships.

“Africa is cinema’s greatest opportunity in the 21st century,” Juliet Yaa Asantewa Asante, CEO of the National Film Authority of Ghana said.

“The Africa Cinema Summit serves as a call and pathway to realizing the potential of cinema for both the people of Africa and the cinema world globally.”
