Ghanaian music sensation AratheJay has announced his withdrawal from the upcoming Ghana Party in the Park UK 2025, citing performance-related concerns.
In an official statement shared via his Instagram page, the artiste explained that the conditions necessary for him to deliver his best performance “have not been adequately considered.”
He described the decision as difficult but necessary after careful reflection.
“This decision was not made lightly, but stems from my belief that the conditions necessary for me to deliver my best performance have not been adequately considered,” the statement read.
Though AratheJay did not disclose specific issues, he made it clear that his choice was not out of disregard for the event or its legacy. He acknowledged the important role Ghana Party in the Park has played in promoting Ghanaian talent on a global stage and extended his best wishes to the organizers, partners, and fellow performers.
“I hold Ghana Party in the Park UK in high regard and recognise the important role it has played in showcasing Ghanaian talent over the past two decades,” he added.
This year’s event marks the 20th anniversary of the iconic celebration of Ghanaian culture in the UK. Scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025, the festival will take place at Barnet Playing Fields in London. The 2025 lineup includes top Ghanaian acts such as King Promise, Kweku Smoke, DopeNation, Moliy, Beeztrap KOTM, Cina Soul, and Fuse ODG.
Despite AratheJay’s absence, anticipation remains high for the milestone event, which has become a staple for the Ghanaian diaspora and a launchpad for many rising artists.
