Alcorn State Women’s Soccer has strengthened its squad with the signing of Ghanaian attacker Sophia Bobie ahead of the upcoming season.

The talented forward becomes the latest Ghanaian player to join the American college side and is expected to add creativity and attacking quality to the team. Bobie’s arrival continues the growing presence of Ghanaian female footballers in the United States collegiate system.

She will reunite with fellow Ghanaian Jacqueline Amponsah, who completed her move to Alcorn State in April. The addition of the two players highlights the club’s increasing interest in recruiting talent from Ghana as it prepares for the new campaign.

Bobie is regarded as a promising attacker with strong technical ability and pace, qualities that could make her an important asset for the team. Her move also represents another significant step in her development as she seeks to further her football career and academic journey in the United States.
