German-born Ghanaian forward Charles-Jesaja Herrmann played a pivotal role in Amstetten’s 3-1 comeback win against Sturm Graz II in the Austrian Bundesliga 2.

The match at the Ertl Glas-Stadion saw Herrmann start and play for 77 minutes.

Amstetten faced an early setback when Peter Kiedl’s header from a corner gave Sturm Graz II the lead in the 14th minute. Despite the deficit, Amstetten pushed forward but struggled to create clear-cut chances in the first half.

The second half began with a bang for Amstetten as Jannik Wanner’s cross found Herrmann, who headed in the equalizer. The momentum shifted, and Amstetten took the lead five minutes before full-time when Can Kurt’s cross was coolly finished by Wanner.

The victory was sealed in injury time when Wanner’s impressive run set up substitute Dominik Weixelbraun, who scored from a tight angle to make it 3-1. Herrmann’s goal proved to be the catalyst for Amstetten’s spirited comeback, securing a crucial win in the league.
