Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Sadiq was instrumental in AZ Alkmaar’s emphatic 9-1 victory over SC Heerenveen at the AFAS Stadion.
Ibrahim Sadiq started the match and played 75 minutes, contributing significantly to the team’s dominance.
After assisting Troy Parrott in the 23rd and 48th minutes, Sadiq capped off his stellar performance with a goal in the 72nd minute. He calmly slotted a right-footed shot into the bottom right corner, finishing off a swift counterattack set up by Sven Mijnans.
Troy Parrott was in lethal form, netting four goals, while AZ’s offensive firepower overwhelmed Heerenveen. Other scorers included Kristijan Belic, Mexx Meerdink, and Zico Buurmeester, with assists coming from a range of AZ players.
With this result, Sadiq has now registered two goals and three assists in four Eredivisie appearances this season.
AZ Alkmaar’s next fixture will be against PEC Zwolle on September 20th as they continue their strong start to the campaign.
