In a thrilling 22nd round of the WWIN League in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Joseph Amoah demonstrated his class with an assist in Zeljeznicar’s narrow 2-1 defeat to FK Zvijezda 09.
The match began with Saliman’s long shot attempt, but Zeljeznicar’s goalkeeper Muftić was quick to respond.
The deadlock was broken in the 31st minute when Amoah delivered a pinpoint cross from the right flank, allowing Aleksandar Boljević to head in for the opening goal. However, the home team equalized in the 38th minute through Godswill Vadze, who finished off a cross from Saliman.
Amoah continued to be a threat in the second half, nearly scoring in the 59th minute with a header that was saved by Jelovac. Unfortunately for Zeljeznicar, Zvijezda 09 took the lead in the 63rd minute when Vadze’s cross was inadvertently headed into his own net by Selimović.
Joseph Amoah has played 20 games and assisted two goals in the WWIN League this season.
