Talented Ghanaian youngster Obed Ofori has joined German Oberliga side Spvgg Erkenschwick in the summer transfer window.The Schalke 04-trained forward signed a one-year deal to join the fifth-tier side after leaving Arminia Bielefeld II.The 19-year-old has already started pre-season with Spvgg ahead the team prepares ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.”Obed is a very exciting player with excellent training. He’s physically strong, already familiar with the Oberliga (fifth tier), and has great potential for development. We’re delighted that he chose to join us despite other offers and are convinced he’ll be a valuable asset to our team,” said the head coach of Spvgg, Nassir Maylar.The teen sensation is expected to play a huge role in the upcoming season as Spvgg eye promotion to the fourth-tier.Ofori started his career with FSV Witten before joining Schalke O4. He later signed for VFL Bochum and spent last season at Arminia Bielefeld II.
