Ghanaian youngster Justin Diehl is poised to make a comeback in the FC Koln squad following his recovery from a thigh injury.
The 19-year-old, born in Germany, is expected to feature in the last three match days of the season after being sidelined for one and a half months.
Confirmation of Diehl’s return came from FC coach Timo Schultz during a press conference on Thursday. Schultz stated, “Justin has been training for two weeks now and is definitely an option for the squad again.” With Mark Uth absent, Diehl could seize the opportunity to reclaim his spot in the lineup.
Diehl, known for his attacking prowess, has made six appearances in the German Bundesliga this season.
Despite his imminent departure to Stuttgart at the season’s end, Diehl remains committed to contributing to FC Koln’s campaign in his remaining matches.
FC Koln is currently 17th on the league table with 23 points.
