Ghana’s 8th Parliament of the Fourth Republic has been officially dissolved, marking the end of its legislative term.

The dissolution ceremony, presided over by Speaker Alban Bagbin, concluded a four-year period characterized by significant debates and a rare balance of power between the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

This paves the way for the inauguration of the 9th Parliament, where newly elected Members of Parliament will be sworn in, and a new Speaker will be elected to lead the House.
