Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Mustapha is eager for a fresh chapter in his career following a frustrating, injury-hit spell in Austria. The 24-year-old has signed a three-year contract with Serbian club FK Vojvodina, returning to a league he knows well and hoping to rediscover his form.Mustapha arrives from Austrian Bundesliga side LASK, where consistent injuries limited his opportunities and stalled his development. He played just ten matches across all competitions last season, scoring once. In the 2023/24 campaign, he spent almost 300 days on the sidelines, missing 29 matches due to fitness issues. His return to Serbia marks a homecoming of sorts. Mustapha began his European journey with Red Star Belgrade and later featured on loan at Serbian clubs including Grafiar, Zlatibor, Radniki Srem, and Novi Pazar. His familiarity with the Serbian game could prove vital as he seeks to revive his career at the highest level.Vojvodina, who confirmed the Ghanaian as their first signing of the summer window, are optimistic his pace, strength, and attacking versatility will be valuable assets. The club is aiming to strengthen its squad ahead of the new Serbian SuperLiga campaign and push for European qualification.
