Avance Media, Africa’s leading PR, research and rankings firm with over a decade of experience producing influential rankings and recognition platforms across the continent, and WatsUp Agency, a premium African communication, talent management and 360 marketing agency, have released the Inaugural 2026 Top 50 New Media Powerlist Ghana.

As the first initiative of its kind in the country, the Powerlist seeks to identify, recognise, and document the creators, influencers, bloggers, online journalists, streamers, commentators, digital publishers, and ecosystem builders whose work consistently drives conversations, shapes culture, influences audiences, and contributes to the growth of Ghana’s digital economy.

YouTube content creator Kwadwo Sheldon topped the list, followed by TikTok personality Dada Ahoufe at No. 2, travel content creator Wode Maya at No. 3, entertainment blogger Zionfelix at No. 4, and dancer and choreographer Endurance Grand at No. 5.

The ranking brings together creators working across entertainment, comedy, lifestyle, travel, dance, news, food, commentary and online storytelling, reflecting both the diversity of Ghana’s creator landscape and the role these individuals play in shaping digital conversations, trends and audience engagement.

Unlike popularity polls, the Powerlist is based on a data-driven assessment of 120 leading Ghanaian creators, with a combined audience of 330.5 million followers across six platforms, studied for the 2026 edition.

The New Media Powerlist Score determined the final 50 by evaluating creators across three areas: audience reach, digital visibility, and content activity, to produce each creator’s overall position from No. 1 to No. 50.

Women accounted for 14 of the 50 creators on the ranking, representing 28% of the final list. Endurance Grand is the highest-ranked woman at No. 5, followed by Afronitaa at No. 8 and Chefabbys at No. 10.

Their top-ten presence highlights women creators’ contributions to Ghana’s digital landscape across dance, food, and entertainment content.

The 2026 edition establishes the Powerlist as an annual exercise, accompanied by research named the Ghana Creator Economy Report, which will track and present developments in Ghana’s new media industry.

In addition to the overall Top 50, the report will include platform-by-platform rankings, offering a closer look at creators’ standing across individual social media channels.

“The New Media Powerlist Ghana is an opportunity to document the people shaping Ghana’s digital space through a structured, data-driven approach.

Our aim is not to create competition among creators, but to present what the data reveals and recognise the range of talent contributing to the country’s new media landscape,” Prince Akpah, founder of Avance Media, said.

“This ranking gives Ghana’s new media industry and the corporate bodies a structured, consistent basis for understanding how our leading creators and their digital influence evolve year on year,” said Abdoulaye Traore (ABD Traore), Founder of WatsUp Agency.

The New Media Powerlist 50 Ghana 2026 is presented by Avance Media and WatsUp Agency through New Media WKND, a platform focused on recognising and supporting the development of Africa’s new media industry.
