The Leadership of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), has visited to mourn with the family of the late Veteran Broadcaster, Godwin Avenorgbo, at his Regimanuel Grey Residence at Teshie.

The delegation was made up of the Vice President, Linda Asante Agyei; General Secretary, Kofi Yeboah; National Organising Secretary, Dominic Hlodzi; Treasurer, Audrey Dekalu; and Rebecca Ekpe, Public Affairs Officer.

The family welcomed the team and stated that the circumstances surrounding Mr. Avenorgbor’s death was ‘’as shocking to the family as to the GJA, as he was in service of the Ghana Journalists Association at the time of his demise’’.

As a member of the Ghana Journalists Association, Mr. Avenorgbo served as the Chairman of the GJA 75th Anniversary Planning Committee.

His wife, children, friends, and sympathisers had gathered in shock at the residence of the late Broadcaster, who passed on to eternity on 19th August 2024 after a short illness.

A book of condolence has been opened at the late Mr. Avenorgbo’s residence, and the family indicates that funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.
