Godrej Industries Group, through its Ghana operations, on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, donated 250 boxes of Good Knight Power Shots Multi Insect Killer to the Tema West Municipal Directorate of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO).

The donation forms part of Godrej Ghana’s corporate social responsibility efforts to support communities affected by the recent floods, particularly those displaced by the June 29 flooding incident. The insecticide spray is intended to help control mosquitoes breeding in stagnant waters and reduce the risk of mosquito-borne diseases during the recovery period.

Presenting the items at the Tema West Municipal Assembly, Rose Morrison, Head of Human Resources at Godrej Ghana, highlighted the company’s longstanding commitment to community support. She noted the timely alignment between Godrej’s initiative and NADMO’s needs.

“When we decided as a company to see how best we can support the flood victims in our community, we called NADMO and the day that we actually called them, they were also on their way to come to us… great minds think alike,” Morrison said.

She added that the company, part of the India-based Godrej Industries Group with nearly 130 years of history, operates in Ghana producing and distributing home care products.

“We wanted to come today and donate some products that we produce to help with what NADMO is already doing… to alleviate all these mosquitoes from the stagnant waters,” she said,

Kweku Nana Tatantu, Tema West Municipal Director of NADMO, expressed gratitude for the timely support and assured proper distribution of the items.

“As NADMO Tema West we are grateful… we’ll make sure that whatever you have given us will be made good use of,” Tatantu stated.

He emphasised the practical value of the donation, noting that “it’s not everybody who needs rice and oil; some people need something like a repellent for the mosquitoes after cleaning their homes.”

He expressed hope for a stronger ongoing partnership, given Tema West’s vulnerability to flooding.

The ceremony included a demonstration of the product by Godrej’s marketing team.

Officials believe the donation will significantly bolster ongoing relief efforts in the municipality.
