The newly installed Chief of Gomoa Manso in the Central Region, Nana Okyeadze Dontoh X, has called on the government to upgrade the only Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound, in the town to the status of a Clinic, as well as establish a police station at Gomoa Manso.
The call, if heeded according to him, will help solve the problem of transferring referral health cases to Agona Swedru for further treatment. He said establishing a police post at Gomoa Manso is important in curbing crime in the area.
Speaking at the celebration of this year’s annual Akwambo festival of the Chiefs and people of the town which also marked his swearing-in ceremony, Nana Okyeadze Dontoh further appealed to all indigenes, born home and abroad to come and support kind and in cash towards the development of the town.
The occasion was also used to raise funds to complete an ultra-modern community center currently under construction at Gomoa Manso.
