The Government of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas has agreed to renew work permits for Ghanaians employed in the construction and engineering sectors under private business initiatives. Hon. announced this positive development following successful diplomatic engagements.

The resolution brings relief to many Ghanaian professionals and their families had faced uncertainty regarding their legal status and continued stay in the Bahamas.

Many Ghanaians have contributed significantly to the Bahamas’ construction and engineering projects in recent years. Through constructive discussions, the issue of work permit renewals has now been resolved, ensuring continuity for affected workers.
