The Ministry of Education has released an additional GH₵25 million to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to support its ongoing operations and ensure the smooth marking of the 2024 WASSCE papers.
In a statement issued on Monday, December 23, the Ministry’s spokesperson, Kwasi Kwarteng, confirmed the release of the funds and assured the public that WAEC is committed to releasing the results soon.
This financial support is expected to ease WAEC’s financial challenges and speed up the marking and processing of results.
The move brings relief to students, parents, and schools eagerly waiting for the WASSCE results to plan their next steps in education.
