The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) has apologised for what it termed, system disturbance in “All regions of the North.”
THE Company said the disturbance was caused by a trip in the functioning of a transformer.
“The Ghana Grid Company wishes to inform the general public that at 5:40am today, a
system disturbance affected the supply of power to all the Regions of the North.
Prior to this, at 05:29am, a 330/161kV auto transformer at the Kintampo substation tripped causing an outage to the Anwomaso-Kumasi Transmission Line resulting in the system disturbance, ” a part of a press release issued by GRIDCo explained.

According to the power distribution company, “Restoration commenced immediately and full restoration completed at 07:35am. GRIDCo apologises for the inconvenience caused.”
