Hajj Board Chairman Calls On Northern Regional Imam, Minister Ahead Of First Flight Departure | General News

The Chairman of the Hajj Board, Ben Abdallah together with some Board members and secretarial staff, on Friday, called on the Northern Regional Imam, Alhaji Ahmed Abdul Salam, to brief him on Hajj preparations and also seek his prayers ahead of the first Hajj flight from Ghana to Saudi Arabia which took off from Tamale the same day.

Before the visit to the Regional Imam, Ben Abdallah and his delegation called on the Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Shani Alhassan Shaibu to brief him first ahead of the first flight.

After the meeting with the Regional Minister, he accompanied the Hajj Board delegation to the Regional Imam who advised them and prayed for a successful Hajj this year.

The Board Chairman also requested special prayers for the President and his Veep and for the entire country.

While some of the Board members are already in Saudi Arabia as advance team members to receive Ghanaian pilgrims, the Board Chairman and the other members are in Tamale ensuring the smooth take-off of all scheduled flights in Tamale for pilgrims from the northern part of the country.

Flights from Accra to airlift pilgrims from the southern sector is expected to commence next weekend.
