Asante Kotoko will have Hamza Obeng on the touchline when they host Karela United on Thursday as the club begins life without former head coach Eric Tinkler.Obeng, who coaches the Young Porcupines, is expected to take charge of the senior team on an interim basis until the club appoints a substantive head coach.He previously stepped in as interim coach at the end of last season following the departure of the then head coach, giving him experience of handling the first team.His temporary appointment comes after Tinkler resigned following Sundays 2-0 defeat to Aduana FC and returned to South Africa to take up a new opportunity.Obeng will therefore be tasked with guiding Kotoko through Thursdays Ghana Premier League clash against Karela United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.The Porcupine Warriors are looking to return to winning ways after managing just one victory from their opening four league matches.Kotoko have two draws and one defeat alongside their solitary win, while Thursdays fixture presents Obeng with an immediate test as the club searches for stability during the coaching transition.
