Hamza ObengInterim Asante Kotoko coach Hamza Obeng has challenged his forwards to become more clinical in front of goal as the Porcupine Warriors seek to improve their attacking output in the Ghana Premier League.Kotokos attacking trio of Isaac Opoku, Emmanuel Mamah and Solomon Nsoh have scored a combined five goals after seven league matches this season, prompting Obeng to demand greater efficiency in the final third.Speaking after Kotokos 1-1 draw against AshantiGold 04 at the Len Clay Stadium on Sunday, Obeng acknowledged improvements in his forwards performances but stressed that converting chances into goals remains their primary responsibility.Much better, but they need to improve more because thats their hallmark. The only thing we need from them is for them to put the ball in the back of the net, he said. The coach pointed to the work of Kotokos midfielders in creating opportunities for the attackers, insisting that the forwards must make better use of the chances being presented to them.He urged his players to show greater patience and composure in the attacking third instead of wasting promising scoring opportunities. The midfielders are able to create the chances in the final third, and the only thing we need from them is to exercise patience, have composure in the attacking third and put the ball at the net, he added.Kotoko, who are eighth in the league standings, will look to return to winning ways when they host Medeama SC at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 GMT as Obengs side seek to turn their attacking opportunities into goals and improve their position on the league table.
