Hasaacas Ladies have been crowned champions of the 2025/26 Women’s FA Cup after defeating Army Ladies 5-3 on penalties in a thrilling final.
The fiercely contested encounter, which took place at Kukurantumi Ohene Park, ended 1-1 after extra time, forcing a dramatic shoot-out in which Hasaacas Ladies held their nerve to secure the trophy.
Hasaacas Ladies took the lead in the 87th minute when Linda Epo finished calmly to put her side ahead. But the Army Ladies responded almost immediately. Just two minutes later, Esther Asamoah Yiadom struck an equaliser to ensure the contest remained finely balanced.
Both teams created chances in regulation and extra time but could not find a decisive goal, sending the final to penalties.
In the shoot-out, Hasaacas Ladies showed greater composure, converting all five of their penalties. Army Ladies managed three, handing the Sekondi-based side a 5-3 win and the 2025/26 Women’s FA Cup trophy.
The triumph marks another major achievement for Hasaacas Ladies, further cementing their status as one of the dominant forces in Ghana women’s football.
Hasaacas Ladies has been the dominant force in Ghanaian women’s football over the past decade, securing four Ghana Women’s Premier League titles and an unprecedented domestic treble in 2021.
This happens to be its second FA Cup honour in five years after claiming the title in the 2020-21 season.
Regionally, it claimed the inaugural WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League and was the runner-up in the 2021 CAF Women’s Champions League.
