Award-winning Ghanaian singer Camidoh has expressed an effusion of joy following the feature of Coded of 4×4 fame on the remix of his ‘Nothing Lasts Forever.’
After the release of the remix of ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’, a lot of music lovers have also expressed their fondness for various aspects of the remake.
While some are falling in love with the verses of King Paluta, Kelvyn Boy, Medikal, Lyrical Joe and Beeztrap KOTM, the chants of Coded (of 4×4 fame), have hugely been commended by other music lovers.
In an interview with Onua TV, Camidoh said “Coded has a very powerful voice, Growing all the songs that had Coded’s voice were so influential.
I want to say ‘thank you’ to him because he is older than us but when I was doing the mixing of the song I felt like sampling something from our old musicians so I called him that I wanted to sample his voice but he said he wouldn’t mind to do it himself. So he came to the studio and did it for me.”
Even in the video, Camidoh pays a special tribute to the hiplife artiste with the inscription: “Your iconic voice cannot be forgotten. ‘Oh Noooo.’’
‘Nothing Lasts Forever’ themed on heartbreak and disappointment, reveals an unpleasant situation Camidoh went into about a year ago.
“I wouldn’t say much but losing a partner I loved very much to a few arguments or misunderstandings here and there hurts so bad,” he says indicating that the incident has nothing to do with infidelity.
He further mentions that he broke down completely, got depressed and had to go through a therapy session. “I made a lot of life-long plans with this person,” he added.
The video which was directed by Camidoh is currently No. 3 on YouTube trends.
