Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah has returned to Saudi Pro League side Al Riyadh, with the club confirming his comeback after a difficult spell at Al-Nasr.The 31-year-old previously played for Al Riyadh during the 2024/25 campaign, scoring five goals in 29 league appearances. He now returns to the club after spending last season with Al-Nasr.Mensah’s agent, Murat Uzunmehmet, CEO and owner of Talent & Family Management, revealed that the midfielder endured a difficult period at Al-Nasr, which affected his enjoyment of football.We are very happy now to be back home again. He has a name in the Saudi Pro League, and he will do more things here, Uzunmehmet told Footy-Africa.com.Last year was like a test for Mensah. He faced crazy injustices and situations at Al-Nasr. He lost his passion and joy for football there.Uzunmehmet believes Mensah can rediscover his best form following his return to Saudi Arabia.But now he is very happy to play in a strong league against world stars. He already proved himself in this league, but he still has more things to do for his team, and everyone will see this season, he added.Mensah previously enjoyed his most productive Saudi campaign with Al-Tai, scoring 14 league goals during the 2023/24 season.He also has extensive experience from Portugal, Spain, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, including a spell at Besiktas where he won the Turkish Super Lig and Turkish Cup.
