The Momo vendor who was robbed by a Ghanaian policeman named Bright Appieah Dankwah has shared what caused the arrest of the policeman who robbed her.
In a viral audio available at the news desk of Gh Page, the lady whose identity is unknown shared that the police man’s mistake caused his own arrest.
Sharing what happened, the lady claims “I am a mobile money vendor. I was at my shop when a motor rider came to park his motor. He asked me to give him my contact information because he wanted someone to send money to it. I told him that it was better for the person to allow cash out so that I could withdraw the money. He stood there for a while and by the time I realized, he had entered my shop. He showed me a gun and asked me to bring out all the money I had made in the day”.
She added that “I gave him all the money I had made which was 38k Cedis. He asked me to open it and bring more if there was any. He threatened to kill my child and me. In fact, I urinated on myself”.
She noted that, on the same day, the policeman also robbed other people within the Ashanti Region, but unfortunately, he was later caught and arrested.
Speaking of his arrest, the lady shared that the policeman in focus went to another shop to rob, but unlike her, the lady wasn’t tickled by the pulling of a gun at her, so, she decided to run away.
She noted that the policeman left his mobile phone among other important documents at the scene only to focus more on the operation that he had gone for, and unfortunately, after taking the money, he forgot to pick up his items.
The lady claims that through the phone, they found out that the armed robber was a policeman hence, they rushed to the nearest police station to lodge a complaint, leading to the arrest of Bright Appiah Dankwah.
“The same day he came to rob me, he went to rob other people as well. One of the victims, even though a gun was pulled at her, ran away. After the girl had run away, the policeman picked up the money and forgot that he had left his mobile phone among other things there”, she shared.
