Hearts of Oak board member Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has stated that the club will decide Slavko Matic’s future as fans continue to demand the Serbian coach’s dismissal.
Matic has recently fallen out with the fans and was chased out of the training grounds prior to the club’s league and President’s Cup victory over Asante Kotoko.
The fans are demanding Matic’s dismissal due to poor results, and he was not present on the bench for the Kotoko game to protect him against angry supporters.
Assistant coach David Ocloo led the team against Kotoko and secured a 1-0 win thanks to Konadu Yiadom’s second-half header.
The former Ghana Football Association boss said on Asempa FM, “The future of Slavko Matic will be determined by the board.
“I cannot confirm if he is staying or not because we [the board] have not met to make a decision on that. “If we meet and make a decision on the future of Matic, the fans and the public will be informed.
“For now, the assistant coach, David Ocloo is in charge of the team now,” he added.
Hearts of Oak are back in the top four after defeating Kotoko.
