Accra Hearts of Oak have denied reports of a crisis in their camp over players welfare, insisting that the club provides adequate feeding arrangements for players ahead of matches.In a press statement dated October 8, 2026, the Phobians dismissed reports circulating in the media suggesting that players were not being properly catered for.The club maintained that the welfare of its players, technical team and officials remains a priority, adding that it provides employment and welfare packages it considers competitive within the prevailing economic conditions.Hearts of Oak explained that players selected for home matches are provided with dinner on the eve of the game, as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner on matchdays. For away matches, players and officials receive three square meals on the day before and on matchdays.The club also appealed to supporters and stakeholders to disregard reports suggesting that players were not being fed adequately before and during matches.The statement comes amid an inconsistent start to the Ghana Premier League season for Hearts of Oak, who have recorded two wins, two draws and one defeat in their opening five matches under head coach Neboja Kapor.The reports have emerged ahead of Sunday’s crucial encounter against newly promoted Port City, with the Phobians looking to return to winning ways and build momentum after their mixed start to the campaign.Hearts of Oak insist they remain committed to improving conditions for their players and staff as they pursue success in domestic and continental competitions.The statement was signed by Hearts of Oak management.
