Accra Hearts of Oak will officially begin preparations for the 2026/27 season on Wednesday, July 22, after instructing all retained players and members of the technical team to report to the Pobiman Training Complex from July 20-21.
The reporting period will allow the club to complete preliminary activities before the start of full training as the Phobians step up preparations for the new campaign.
The Phobians head into the season determined to challenge for the Ghana Premier League title after finishing third in the 2025/26 campaign, narrowly missing out on the championship.
The club is, however, still without a substantive head coach following the departure of Mas-Ud Didi Dramani at the end of last season. An announcement on his successor is expected in the coming days.
The start of pre-season will provide the new technical direction with an opportunity to assess the squad and begin preparations for what promises to be a crucial campaign.
Hearts of Oak supporters will be hoping the club’s early return to training lays the foundation for a successful season as the Phobians target their first league title in four years.
