Hearts of Oak’s emerging talisman Yaw Amankwa Baafi has credited his meteoric rise to prominence to the coaches at the Rainbow Club.
Baafi, 19, scooped the MVP award after dazzling against Nsoatreman on the matchday 26 clash at the Accra Sports Stadium when the Phobians claimed a slender 2-1 victory over the Ghana Premier League newcomers.
The former Madina Republicans star scored the important goal that decided the game for David Dickson Ocloo’s side who now remains in strong contention for the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League title.
After winning the MVP award, the youngster opened up on the secret behind his fine form for the 2000 CAF Champions League winners.
“I will attribute my current performance to the coaches. I listen with rapt attention to any instructions they give out. One of the prominent instructions is to be mobile upfront at all times. So I try to do just that to give the team and the coach the desired results,” he told heartsofoaksc.com.
