Ivory Coast head coach Herv Renard says he is likely to make changes to his starting line-up when the Elephants face Somalia in their second 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.The Elephants travel to face Somalia on Tuesday, September 29, looking to build on their 2-0 victory over Ghana in their opening Group C match in Bouake last week.Ahead of the match, Herv Renard has indicated that some players could be given an opportunity, although he does not expect major changes to the team that secured victory against the Black Stars.Speaking at his pre-match press conference, the French coach said he intends to make just a few changes.There will certainly be a few changes, but dont expect an upheaval. Things will build up little by little, Renard said.The Elephants head into the match as Group C leaders after their victory over Ghana.Another win would allow Herv Renard’s side to maintain their position at the top of the group as they continue their pursuit of qualification for the 2027 AFCON tournament.The match between Somalia and Ivory Coast is scheduled to kick off at 19:00 GMT on Tuesday.
