Ghanaian disc jockey, DJ Bridash of Hitz Fm, has narrated how he was painfully duped out of over Ghc 16,000 whilst attempting to rent an apartment in Accra.
DJ Bridash went apartment shopping on Jiji and found an apartment going for Ghc 1,500 a month and called to check it out.
He met the agent and the supposed landlord and made payment for Ghc 16,600 and received keys to the apartment. He was supposed to meet them the next day for the agreement form.
However, he received a call from them the next morning asking for Ghc 1,500 to fix air conditioners, which he also paid.
In the end, the whole thing turned up to be a scam and DJ Bridash made a report to the police which he shared online.
“A little piece of Advice to all those looking for apartments and rooms to rent online. Please be very careful when dealing with these people. This happened to me jux last week Monday. Am very depressed Rough… Rough.” he wrote.
