Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Teye Partey has expressed his excitement and gratitude to the nation after being cleared to join the Black Stars for their remaining 2026 FIFA World Cup group games.
The Arsenal star was unfortunately denied entry into Canada due to his ongoing legal case in the UK, forcing him to miss Ghana’s opening match against Panama.
However, he will be available for the crucial clash against England on Tuesday, June 23 at Gillette Stadium.
In a short video message released to fans, Partey acknowledged the overwhelming support he has received while expressing his eagerness to link up with the squad.
“Hello Ghanaians! Thanks so much for the love and messages I have received. I can’t wait to be part of you guys, I can’t wait to join the team. It’s a great feeling to be part of a team like this and thanks so much to everyone for the support. I’m very grateful,” he said.
The message has been warmly received by Ghanaian supporters, who are hopeful that Partey’s presence will strengthen the Black Stars midfield as they push for progression from Group L.
