American actor and singer Tyrese Gibson has announced plans to visit Africa in the coming weeks, saying he hopes to perform a series of concerts across the continent.
In a post shared on Instagram, the entertainer told fans he wanted to create “new memories” during the trip and was seeking serious offers from concert promoters.
Gibson said he hoped to stage six shows while in Africa, adding that he was eager to immerse himself in local culture. “I just wanna jump around and embrace the culture,” he wrote, before asking followers where they thought he should visit.
The singer also used the post to seek contact with Nigerian musician Burna Boy, “Dear Motherland Africa, I’m on my way. Who can put me in touch with King Burna Boy?” The message quickly drew attention from fans across several African countries.
Since the announcement, social media users have responded by promoting destinations in their respective countries and encouraging the actor to include them in his itinerary. Gibson, known for his roles in the Fast & Furious film franchise and for his music career, has not yet confirmed the dates or locations of the proposed concerts.
