Ghanaian media personality and Guinness World Record hopeful, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, has refuted claims that she received a V8, house, or cash from the previous NPP government. She clarified that the only thing former Vice President Bawumia gave her was sore throat medicine during his visit to her first Singathon attempt.
In an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, Afua expressed shock over the rumors, saying she only came across them before her second Singathon attempt.
“I did not receive anything from the government. The only thing I got was medication to soothe my throat from the former vice president when he visited me during the performance,” she stated.
She added that these false reports have unfairly turned public sentiment against her, forcing her to repeatedly address the misinformation.
