Ghanaian singer and songwriter Kurl Songx has expressed pride in his collaboration with the late Ebony Reigns on the song ‘Feeling’ before her untimely passing.
In an interview with Cape Coast-based Property FM, Kurl Songx, whose real name is Kelvin Agyekum, shared that while he would have loved to perform the song alongside Ebony, he feels fortunate to have had the chance to create music with her.
He also expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to work with Ebony, acknowledging her immense talent and the unique impact she had on the Ghanaian music industry.
“Anytime I listen to my song “Feelings” which I did with Ebony, I always wish that she was here with me but may her soul rest in peace because God knows best.
“I know she is in a happy place just that I’m happy to have recorded a song with Ebony and I’m glad to have gotten the opportunity to work with a great person like her.
“I wished she would be around for us to perform the Feelings song together but the unthinkable has happened already and there’s nothing we could do about it,” he stated.
Ebony Reigns, born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng on February 16, 1997, was a rising star in the Ghanaian music industry, celebrated for her bold personality and hit songs like “Maame Hwɛ” and “Kupe.” Tragically, her promising career was cut short when she died in a car accident on February 8, 2018, just days before her 21st birthday.
