Business mogul Ibrahim Mahama has reportedly stepped in to support Ghanaian journalist and public servant Georgina Afia Kwarteng, who appealed for financial assistance to fund treatment for relapsed cancer.

In a video circulating on social media and shared by the journalist’s colleagues, including Nana Yaa Brefo, Akosua Sarpong and Nana Yaa Konadu Yiadom, Georgina was seen expressing her appreciation to the business executive for the kind gesture.

The visibly grateful journalist thanked Ibrahim Mahama, saying she never expected such swift intervention after her health condition was made public.

Oh God, Mr Ibrahim Mahama, thank you. I am grateful. Thank you so much. I never expected this. God bless you. God bless you with long life. Thank you. It was just yesterday that my colleagues posted this. Thank you so much. It feels like a dream. God bless you,” she said.
