The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) has responded to allegations from the Mahama 2024 Campaign that it favoured the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in planning an upcoming presidential debate.

In its response, the IEA clarified that it had not engaged with any political party before announcing the debate plans.

They emphasized their commitment to providing equal opportunity for all candidates.

The IEA affirmed its intention to officially invite all presidential and vice-presidential candidates to participate, aiming to foster informed voter decision-making before the elections.
