Ghanaian defender Philip Gameli Awuku has expressed excitement after completing his transfer to the club this past weekend.
The 24-year-old joined on a free transfer after leaving Tuzlaspor this summer and has signed a one year deal with an option to extend for a further one year.
Speaking after the announcement was made, Gameli Awuku said he is eager to work hard and contribute to the progress of Manisa FK.
“I had a wonderful time in Turkey. Now I am very happy to be in Manisa. I am excited to compete here. I want to work hard and contribute as much as I can to help Manisa Futbol Kulübü achieve its goals.”
Philip Gameli Awuku began his professional career with Ghana’s Okyeman FC and transferred to Yeni Malatyaspor, which was competing in the Süper Lig at the time, for the 2020-2021 season.
After spending two seasons there, Awuku joined Tuzlaspor for the 2022-2023 season and became one of the team’s key players.
Over his career, Gameli Awuku has played 83 official matches and contributed to 4 goals.
