Inter Miami confirmed the DRV PNK Stadium is sold out for Lionel Messi’s highly anticipated debut on Friday.
Miami will face Liga MX side Cruz Azul in their first League Cup game in Fort Lauderdale, where Messi is expected to make his first appearance for the club.
Despite some speculation about Messi’s readiness for the match, ticket prices skyrocketed as soon as he confirmed his move to Inter Miami from Paris Saint-Germain.
The excitement surrounding his arrival has been building for months, and fans have been eager to witness the Argentine superstar in action.

Tickets for the event have seen a significant increase in price compared to months prior to Messi’s transfer to South Florida. Scalpers have been offering exorbitant prices, with some tickets being sold for as much as $110,000.

Messi’s arrival at Inter Miami comes on a two-year deal, following his departure from PSG. The agreement with the club also includes an option for part-ownership and a share of revenue from new subscribers to Apple TV’s MLS Season Pass streaming service.
