Interior Minister, Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak has extended warm Eid Mubarak greetings to all Muslims in Ghana and across the world.
In his message, he emphasized the significance of Ramadan and the need for continued prayer, sacrifice, and unity among the Muslim Ummah.
“The heavens, the earth, and everything in them bear witness that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah. I extend the best of greetings to all Muslims around the world. Eid Mubarak! May Allah bless us all,” he said.
The Minister expressed gratitude to Allah for the strength and endurance displayed by Muslims throughout the month of Ramadan, acknowledging their prayers, fasting, and sacrifices. He also thanked Ghanaians for their support and trust in the government.
“We are grateful to Allah for His mercy and victory. We also appreciate the mandate given to us by the people. We pray that this leadership brings blessings to our nation,” he stated.
Muntaka also highlighted the commitment of the government to fulfilling promises made to the Muslim community. He noted that in less than three months, a key promise had already been fulfilled—an additional holiday for Eid celebrations.
“It is our leader’s intention to ensure that every promise made is fulfilled, not by his might or strength, but by the grace of Allah. We ask for your continued prayers and support as we work to build a better nation,” he added.
The Minister also used the opportunity to call for modesty and peace during the Eid celebrations. He urged Muslims to remember the essence of Ramadan by continuing to show kindness to the less privileged and maintaining peaceful relations with their neighbours.
“Let’s celebrate in moderation and be mindful of those who are less fortunate. Islam teaches us peace and unity, so let us uphold these values by supporting our neighbors, regardless of their religious beliefs. Let’s also avoid activities that could disturb public peace or lead to violence,” he advised.
Concluding his message, Hon. Muntaka prayed for wisdom, good health, and strength for all Ghanaians, especially the leadership of the country, so they can continue to steer the nation towards progress.
“It is my prayer that Allah grants us good health, wisdom, and understanding so we can work hard and be truthful in our endeavours. May we be blessed with many more Eid celebrations in the years to come. Eid Mubarak!” he declared.
