Minister for the Interior Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak has expressed his condolences to the Royal Family, the chiefs and elders of Dagbon, the people of the kingdom, and Ghanaians following the passing of the Overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Na Mahama Abukari II.
In a condolence message, the Minister described the late Ya-Na’s passing as the end of an era marked by wisdom, dignity, and exemplary leadership. He said the traditional ruler devoted his life to promoting peace, unity, reconciliation, and the development of the Dagbon Kingdom.
Hon Mubarak noted that the Ya-Na’s reign would be remembered for the calm, stability, and unity he brought to the kingdom through his humility, statesmanship, and commitment to harmony.
He prayed for Allah to forgive the late monarch’s shortcomings, grant him mercy and Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and give strength and comfort to the Royal Family, the chiefs and elders of Dagbon, the people of the kingdom, and all Ghanaians during the period of mourning.
