Internationally acclaimed Nigerian singer Burna Boy has debunked reports that his net worth is at $22 million.
Speaking in an interview with Complex, the “Last Last” hitmaker laughed off the claim when the interviewer informed him what Google says his net worth is.
“Let’s not talk about it… Well, I prefer they go that way. That is cool. But it’s inaccurate. They are way off.”Burna Boy stated
The Grammy-winning artist did not reveal how much he is actually worth, but he said that he is grateful to be able to take care of his family’s financial needs as a result of his success in the industry.
“It’s great, man. It’s a blessing. It’s nothing short of a blessing…I always told my mum while growing up as a kid that I would buy her a house and a car someday. Another ‘I Told Them’ moment.”
Burna Boy is one of the most successful musicians in Africa, and his music has been praised for its fusion of Afrobeats, reggae, and dancehall. He has won numerous awards, including two Grammy Awards, and he has been nominated for several others.
