America-based Ghanaian gospel artist Betty Attamah, has stated that it has been a big challenge for most artists in the diaspora to get competent managers.
The secret to success in the music space weighs heavily on management, who would map up promotional strategies to keep the dream of every artist alive.
The America-based gospel artist understands this better and has in an interview with Ghanaweekend.com revealed how getting a competent management team has been a big challenge for most artists in the diaspora.
“There are not enough music managers to support musicians in the diaspora. We need managers for artists based in America. We normally want our songs to be promoted back home but to get the right and competent person to work with is very difficult. Your home ground should always be a starting point, if you’re accepted, the world accepts you easily”. She said.
“When you release songs you need managers to guide you in your promotional strategies so you don’t just do things desperately and be left in the middle of nowhere.Your budgets for projects need to be properly managed to bring you value and also to achieve your goals”.She added
Betty who is currently promoting her second single “Born To Reign” after “My Blessing Is Now” is hoping to release an album soon.
The ‘Born To Reign’ singer prayed that all musicians in the diaspora find the right and competent management team to work with while they are away.
