Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, has revealed why she chose to adopt her husband’s surname after marrying Nigerian singer Mr Eazi.
Speaking in an interview with BBC Pidgin, Temi said her decision was rooted in her new identity as a married woman.
She stressed, however, that it was a personal choice and praised women who prefer to retain their maiden names.
“I’m now a married woman, the obvious thing for me is to take my husband’s name. But it’s my personal choice. I also respect a woman’s ability to choose,” she said.
The actress and style influencer further highlighted the importance of privacy in her relationship. According to her, keeping certain aspects private allows her to “move in silence,” control her own narrative, and share her story on her own terms.
