Ghanaian singer Sista Afia has bravely opened up about her difficult dating history, revealing that she has experienced some of the most abusive relationships that have deeply affected her view on love and partnerships. During a candid conversation on the Girls Aloud Podcast on November 19, 2024, she shared her personal journey and the reasons behind her decision to remain single for now.
Sista Afia, known for her powerful voice and dynamic stage presence, recounted the trauma she endured in her past relationships, admitting that it has made her hesitant to seek a life partner. “I have been through the worst abusive relationships, and I am scared I could go through the process of being with a man officially,” she confessed. She shared that while she is not actively looking for a partner, she is open to the possibility if the right person comes along. “I really don’t pay attention because I am not searching. But as a female, you sometimes get bored and want a man to be in your space. I think I need to work on myself and my relationship life. Every year, I try to be more calm with myself,” she explained.
