Mainz responded through Anthony Caci, who struck twice in the 33rd and 42nd minutes to level the match before the interval.Quansah restored Leverkusens advantage ten minutes into the second half, finding the net in the 55th minute. Moussa Diaby added a fourth in the 65th minute, giving the visitors breathing room, but Mainz kept pushing. Benedict Hollerbach scored in stoppage time to set up a tense finish, though Leverkusen held on for all three points.The defenders goal was his first in the Bundesliga this season. He has played five league games, scoring once and providing one assist.Leverkusen now turn their attention to Europe, with a UEFA Europa League match against Lech on October 15. Quansah will hope to carry his scoring form into that fixture.
