Legendary rapper Jay-Z has vehemently denied allegations of sexual assault levelled against him in a recent lawsuit.
The 55-year-old hip-hop icon is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000, along with Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The lawsuit, filed by an anonymous plaintiff known as “Jane Doe,” alleges that the assault occurred after she was taken to an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in 2000.
It further claims that a female celebrity witnessed the incident as Jay-Z and Diddy took turns assaulting the underage girl.
In a strongly worded statement released on Roc Nation’s X account, Jay-Z not only refuted the claims but also accused the attorney representing the alleged victim, Tony Buzbee, of attempted blackmail and extortion.
He emphasized that the victim deserves real justice, which, in his view, can only be achieved through criminal prosecution.
The legendary American rapper called on Buzbee to file a criminal complaint instead of a civil lawsuit, arguing that the severity of the alleged crime warrants a more serious legal response.
