A case of jealousy and violence has sparked outrage on social media after an 18-year-old commercial motorbike rider was attacked with a machete at Diaso following a misunderstanding involving a woman believed to be the suspect’s girlfriend.
According to reports circulating online, the incident occurred at an Okada station after the suspect allegedly became angry upon seeing his girlfriend sitting on the lap of the young rider.
A video that has surfaced on social media shows a man believed to be the suspect repeatedly striking the victim with a machete. The victim was reportedly attacked on his head and other parts of his body during the violent confrontation.
The disturbing footage has attracted widespread condemnation, with many social media users expressing concern over the level of violence displayed and calling on the Ghana Police Service to investigate the matter and ensure that the alleged attacker faces the law.
