Joe Aidoo has vowed to make a significant contribution to Cork City after completing his move to the Irish club on an 18-month contract.

The Ghanaian midfielder joins Cork City from Saudi Arabian side Al-Sharq as the club look to strengthen their squad ahead of the second half of the season.

Aidoo, who arrived at the clubs training ground in Bishopstown after finalising his transfer, expressed his excitement about starting a new chapter and helping the team achieve its objectives.

I am really happy to join the club. I hope to make a big contribution to the club in the second half of the season, and help the team achieve their targets, Aidoo said.

The 26-year-old brings experience from different football environments, having previously played in Nepal, India, Cameroon and Ghana before moving to Saudi Arabia.

Aidoo believes his ability and work ethic can help him adapt quickly and make an impact for Cork City.

The midfielder is also eager to experience playing in front of the clubs supporters and hopes to repay their faith with strong performances.

I am looking forward to playing in front of the Cork City fans, and I hope I can deliver for them, he added.

Aidoos arrival provides manager Barry Robson with another option in midfield as Cork City aim to achieve their ambitions during the remainder of the campaign.
